WHO WE ARE
The
P.L. Wilson Detachment of the
Marine Corps League has been active on
the
Mobile and Baldwin county
community since its inception in 1979.
The
Detachment derives its name from
Percival Lowe Wilson, a Marine hero
from
WWI and WWII, who received the
Purple Heart, Silver Star, and Croix
DeFleurre for his actions at The Battle of
Belleau Wood.
Our
Focus is to reunite current and former
Marines with their Marine Corps ‘family’
for
camaraderie and fellowship and to
provide support and assistance to our
fellow Marines and their families. The
Detachment meets on the 2nd
Tuesday of
each
month at the American Legion Post
#88
at 2663 Halls Mill Rd, between the
Farmer’s Market and McVay Drive in Mobile. |
